first time @ cocktails with creatives

Tonight was the first time i attended cocktails with creatives, an AIGA event just for people in the business to network and socialize. It was really interesting, It was held at Cafe Lurcat in Loring park, and hosted by a paper company. I went with two of my friends from work, it was really enjoyable. Im excited to attend another cocktails with creatives as soon as i can!!

I have a friend that does something like this, i love the line work its sort of creepy reminds me of muscle but beautiful at the same time!

I love the way this designer took simplicity and color drama to make such a successful piece! love it!

Wednesday February 3rd

1) What is it? : A Cupcake Dress

2) Reason: I've been making it for a while and didnt have class till 3 so i finished it!!

3) Materials: cotton, threat, beads, straps, needle, sewing machine

4) Weather: cold and not so sunny....

5) How many meals I've Eaten So Far: 1, lunch....pasta of course!

Tuesday February 2nd

1) What is it? : A Frame that holds jewelry

2) Reason: I had no place to hang all of my jewelry and it kept on getting tangled!!

3) Materials: Frame, spray paint, mesh, staple gun

4) Weather: Snowy but sunny

5) How many meals I've Eaten So Far: 3, breakfast, lunch and dinner, and icecream...so maybe 4

Thursday January 28th

1) What is it? : A fabric wall hang thing...

2) Reason: It was a project for materials class

3) Materials: cotton, dye, bleach, screen printing ink, photograph of the sky line

4) Weather: 8* and sunny

5) How many meals I've Eaten So Far: 2, cereal, and soup and a snack....but I'm still HUNGRY!

1) What is it? : A lovelines promotion for the Daily

2) Reason: its my job!

3) Materials: Adobe illustrator, paper, ink

4) Weather: 8* and FREEZZZZZING

5) How many meals I've Eaten So Far: one, Chipotle one meal is good for the entire day!

I forgot to photograph the dinner i made so here is something i made a while back...

1) What is it? : T-shirt for jack with my dog Wriggly on it...

2) Reason: for Jacks 1st birthday!!

3) Materials: cotton t-shirt, blue dye, ink

4) Weather: 6* and FREEZING!

5) How many meals I've Eaten So Far: 2, cereal and lunch soup from noodles!

Monday January 25th: Outfit

1) Clothes: pink 3/4 sleeve knit top, jeans, purple ruffle flats

2) Weather: 24* and SNOWY

3) Place I Was Going: school

4) Where I Got It: knit top (Urban Outfitters), jeans (my sisters), flats (target)

5) Hair: curly in a low bun...

note: after i saw the weather i changed my shoes to boots!!
